Australian watchdog sues Amazon, says forced ads in Prime Video ‘unfair’

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission alleges Amazon's contracts contained hidden clauses allowing service degradation without compensation. Subscribers who paid upfront for an ad-free year were later hit with commercials, facing an extra fee to remove them.

Sudipto Sen: AAD asks a simple question: Can we see the human being beyond labels?

Through minimal dialogue, symbolic visuals and a carefully crafted musical score, AAD, a nine-minute short film, examines themes of identity, freedom and self-expression. Rather than offering answers, AAD leaves audiences reflecting on a simple question: Is a person’s true identity found within, or in the labels that society places upon them?
