जींद में स्थित हाइड्रोजन प्लांट में भूमिगत (अंडरग्राउंड) पानी का उपयोग किया जाता है. हाइड्रोजन उत्पादन के लिए सबसे पहले पानी को शुद्ध किया जाता है. इसके बाद शुद्ध पानी को एक विशेष इलेक्ट्रोलाइजर मशीन में भेजा जाता है. बिजली की मदद से पानी (H₂O) को हाइड्रोजन और ऑक्सीजन में विभाजित किया जाता है. इस प्रक्रिया से प्राप्त हाइड्रोजन का उपयोग स्वच्छ ऊर्जा के रूप में किया जाता है.
